Food for Thought : Opportunities for Mindfulness Related to Food

We are helping each other to learn and develop eating habits based in mindfulness, so we can nourish ourselves, enhance our practice, and help others. For 45 minutes we share strategies and research, try mindful eating practices, and discuss things that happen even before we sit down to eat (like shopping choices) that impact our health and the planet. At 12:45, those who wish can stay for a few minutes of silent practice with their own lunch/snack, and then to finish lunch as we visit. No pre-registration needed, but bring something you want to eat! This session will be led by one of Kadampa Center's original members and long-time student, Joanna Smith.
