A message for the holidays
We're all on our own journey. It's a phrase I've thought and said many times in my life. More recently, the year or so I've been coming here, the Center, and all that it represents, has become an integral part of that journey for me.
While I strive to follow the values I aspire to, like compassion, generosity and patience, I am thankful that the Kadampa Center, its community and teachings made available, help me to stay on the right path. Reminding me that it simply feels good to do good.
Because the Center exists, we have our lineage teachers - like Geshe Gelek, Geshe Sangpo, and our treasured nuns - to provide precious teachings. At a time when there are so many views and paths out there, how fortunate we are to receive the teachings from such qualified and authentic lineage teachers.
The Center helps me and others with common goals and values. It helps us now, and will help many generations in the years to come. By supporting the Center - its existence today and growth tomorrow - through our generosity, we can ensure that the Center and all it represents remains here for us today and for our children tomorrow.
