Children's Program

The Kadampa Center Children's program meets Sundays at 10:30am alongside the Sunday morning teachings. After participating with the community in opening prayers, children and teens adjourn to their program. Class curriculum is based on "The 16 Guidelines to a Happy Life," originally introduced in seventh-century Tibet by King Songtsen Gampo and updated by FPMT's Foundation for Developing Compassion and Wisdom, of which H.H. the Dalai Lama is Patron.

A nursery class, 4-8 year old class, 9-12 year old class, and teen class are available on Sundays. The nursery is supervised, however, parents are welcome to stay with their children if they wish. Sunday teachings can be heard within the Center via short wave radio. Please bring your own earphones if you wish to listen.

Family Sunday occurs the 2nd Sunday of each month at 10:30am. This is a time when the first 20 minutes of our Sunday program are devoted to prayers, stories and songs related to Buddhist teachings.

Other periodic events are offered throughout the year including a children's movie during our Potluck and Movie nights, social events and more.

For further information about our Children's Program, please contact the Children's Program Coordinator.
