Kadampa Center offers a number of ways a student of Buddhism can deepen their practice. All day practice sessions are held after the end of each Discovering Buddhism course, usually on the Saturday following the last evening class. The practice days are open to all Center members regardless of whether they were formally enrolled in the class. Discovering Buddhism students are also encouraged to attend more indepth retreats on DB course materials offered at FPMT centers around the world.

Secondly, the Center offers overnight retreat opportunities at a
wonderful farm owned by one of the Center members in rural Alamance
County. These retreats accommodate approximately 20 people. Camping is an
option, as is indoor sleeping. Retreatants arrive between 4 and 6:30 pm on
Friday night. There is a potluck dinner on Friday evening and a required
orientation at 7:30 pm. The retreats generally begin before sunrise on
Saturday and continue until noon on Sunday.
A private retreat hermitage is also available at this site for secluded, individual retreats. | ![]() |
