Kids' Summer Stock Food Drive through July 4   (2008-06-04 21:56:37)

This summer, while school is out, 120,000 underprivileged children in our communities are at risk of being hungry. During this time, they won't be receiving the reduced breakfasts and lunches that the schools would normally provide. Many struggling parents and grandparents will be seeking additional food to help feed their families. Consequently, the Food Bank's need for food increases. We need your help!

A grocery bag with an attached list of most needed items is available at Kadampa Center for you to take and fill with your donated items.

This project is in cooperation with the Children's Program, to reinforce their Sunday teachings on generosity. Please see Jennifer Robles for more information about this.

Donations may be taken to Kadampa Center where they will be collected and delivered to the Food Bank.

Here is a list of most needed items (NO GLASS, please!):

  • Canned Meals - stews, soups, ravioli, tuna, etc.
  • Peanut Butter
  • Cereal
  • Canned Fruits and Vegetables
  • Rice, Pasta, and Dried Beans
THANK YOU for your support!
