Discussion Groups

Kadampa Center currently sponsors a discussion group that meets regularly on the second and fourth Tuesday nights each month. Check the Calendar for the specific dates. This group provides an opportunity to practice mindfulness, put dharma teachings to practice, connect with others and help build community at Kadampa Center.

  • Bridges to Buddhism
This general discussion group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays and is very informal, with no reading required. There will be a facilitator for each evening on a rotating, volunteer basis to get things going. Feel free to bring your thoughts, feelings, questions, issues, confusions, insights, and other personal experiences. There will also be opportunities to discuss topics being covered in the Discovering Buddhism course. It all depends on what the group would like to pick for the next topic.

Topics suggested for future meetings include Engaged Buddhism, Buddhism and Politics, American Buddhism, Buddhism and Other Religions, and On-the-job Buddhism. For more information, contact the Group Coordinator.
